Dr. Don Hunt is a proven leader in Enrollment Management, specializing in building efficient systems and expanding student access for large public universities. He combines high-level strategic vision with the operational discipline honed over decades of experience in higher education and as a U.S. Army veteran.

Prior to NC State, Dr. Hunt served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment at the University of California, Davis, where he led major operations—from admissions and financial aid to enrollment analytics—and successfully cultivated critical partnerships across Student Affairs, IT, and K–12 outreach.
Dr. Hunt holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fresno, and dual degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park. His military background instills a commitment to operational excellence and a disciplined, student-centered approach, ensuring your institution’s enrollment strategy is not only ambitious but executed flawlessly.
