Zócalo approached us to refresh their visual identity in a way that honored their heritage and reflected the rich, vibrant décor imported from Mexico. We began by studying the design elements throughout their various restaurant locations, tiles, patterns, textures, ornamentation, and selected motifs that could be distilled into a supporting logo mark. That mark now complements their existing word mark, giving the brand more visual depth and connection to its architectural and cultural roots.
With the refreshed brand in hand, we rolled out the new logo across all marketing materials, menus, signage, and promotional collateral, ensuring consistency and storytelling at every touchpoint. We also designed and built a new website for Zócalo that delivers a dark, sophisticated aesthetic with modern usability, improved accessibility, and an engaging user experience.
Zócalo’s signature lies in blending contemporary Mexican cuisine with design that feels transportive, drawing on the spirit of Mexico City’s plazas and classic decorative arts. Our design work honors that vision, helping their brand feel more authentic, elevated, and unified across all experiences.
